We only ask for what we need to look after you properly, and we don’t sell or share it with anyone for marketing. This page explains the rest in plain English.

Who we are
Offley Hoo Bridal, Hoo Lane, Offley, Hitchin, Hertfordshire SG5 3ED. We are the data controller for the information described here.
If you have any question about your information, email hello@offleyhoobridal.co.uk or call us, and Sharon or Tanya will deal with it personally.
What we collect, and why
When you request an appointment we ask for your name, your email address, and the time you’d like to come. You can also tell us your phone number, your wedding date and anything you’d like us to know about your day. We use this to confirm your appointment, to contact you about it, and to pull a rail of gowns before you arrive.
We hold that information because you have asked us to arrange an appointment, and because we have a legitimate interest in running the boutique and preparing properly for your visit.
When you email or call us we keep that correspondence so we can pick up where we left off.
If you go on to order a gown we keep the order and payment records that any shop has to keep, including for tax purposes. That is a legal obligation.
What we don’t do
- We don’t use analytics, tracking pixels or advertising cookies. We can’t tell who you are when you browse the site.
- We don’t add you to a mailing list, and we don’t send marketing unless you have specifically asked for it.
- We don’t sell, rent or share your details with anyone for their own marketing.
- We don’t take card or bank details through this website. Payments happen in the boutique.
How long we keep it
- An appointment request that doesn’t go ahead: up to 12 months, in case you come back to us.
- An appointment you attended, or a gown you ordered: 6 years after your order is complete, which is the period we need for accounting and for dealing with any query about your order.
You can ask us to delete your details sooner, and we will unless we have to keep them for those accounting reasons.
Who else sees it
We use a small number of companies to run the website and send emails. They only handle your information on our instructions.
- Railway, which hosts the website and the appointment diary.
- Resend, which sends the confirmation emails about your appointment.
- Google Maps, if you choose to load the map on the Visit Us page. The map is not loaded until you ask for it.
- Google Fonts, which supplies the lettering used on this site. Your device requests those fonts from Google when the page loads.
Our website is currently hosted on servers in the United States, which means your appointment details are stored there. Those companies are committed to protecting your information to the standards required by UK data protection law.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it’s wrong, to have it deleted, to object to how we’re using it, and to ask us to restrict what we do with it. Just email us and we’ll sort it out. There is no charge, and we’ll reply within one month.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or by calling 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we’ll update this page and change the date at the top.
